Kyosho announces a brand new Nissan GT-R set, and it is available for pre-order at Japan Booster...

Kyosho x Sunkus Lottery 02 Nissan GT-R at Japan Booster
The Skylines and GT-Rs keep coming, and I don't hear much complaining about it.

And now it is Kyosho's turn.  They have done plenty of Skylines and GT-Rs in the past, but they have done some refreshes and are now making the GT-R the subject of their second lottery game.

You might remember the first Kyosho x Sunkus lottery.  The theme was McLaren, and those interested in Japan would go to the Sunkus Market and pay for a lottery ticket.  Based on the numbers pulled, they can win one of the standard models, maybe a special 4-car GT-R set, one of two Sor even a radio-controlled car.

Our friends at Japan Booster, however, are going to eliminate the guessing game, and are making all portions of the lottery available now for preorder:

You may or may not be interested in the radio controlled car, but there are some real beauties nonetheless to pursue.  The Vision Concept is very interesting, and it is nice to see the Nismo versions on the GT-R and R34.

Me?  Get me that 4-car set and I am happy.

Crab them now, as they will go fast in GT-R-happy Japan.  More on this set to come...

And same with the TLV presale at JapanBooster.com.  There are no GT-Rs or R34s in this batch, but a sporty Galant is pretty cool, and damn if that Nissan President isn't a must-have.  You can see them all here:

Lots of cool stuff coming...

Tomica Limited Vintage July pre-order at Japan Booster
The July Batch from Tomica Limited Vintage is now available to order from JapanBooster.com.

Hopefully you are getting used to that.  Those that collect TLV know it is nice to guarantee a model by preorder whenever possible, and it has been great now that Japan Booster is providing that service.  You can see the July Batch and order it here:

There are some nice models in this batch, but the R34 Skyline Sedan is the most interesting by far.  In this world full of Nissan R34 GT-Rs, it is not often that you see an R34 Sedan.  But in pure TLV fashion, there is one now, and it looks fantastic.

The police versions are first, and sedan versions come later, but I think the police take the cake for me.  I am very curious to see them in hand.  The Saitama Prefectual Police is the most interesting model in the batch.

After that there are a couple of Leopards, and a couple of Isuzu Hillman Minx.  This is a great batch, so don't miss out.

The splendidly stock '69 Nissan Skyline 2000GT is coming to Tomica Limited Vintage...

My fondness for stock Skylines continues to grow...

In a parade of GT-R's or GT-R conversions, it is the stock Skylines that stand out more and more.  Could be a GT-R sitting high on steelies, or a standard uncut sedan sporting a fully intact surfline.  (Save the surfline!)

For whatever reason I flock to stock, whether untouched or slightly modded, and I am sure that is why I have such a fondness for Tomica Limited Vintage.  I have mentioned it before, but TLV is religiously committed to stock as well.  They won't replicate a model unless they have the actual car in studio to study, and they try to get every detail right, even in 1/64.

They are also committed to all Japanese cars.  That is why you are more likely to see an early Isuzu Gemini in the line as opposed to the Toyota 2000GT or a C10 GT-R.  Of course I would love to see TLV tackle those models, but I am happier seeing them replicate what Japanese roads looked like in the 60's, 70's, 80's, and 90's.

So you can imagine I was pretty stoked when I learned the '69 Nissan Skyline 2000GT was coming to the line.  The '69 is the pre-2-door version, and while there is a GT-R version, this is the model Pop drove to work.

It is set for a January 2017 debut, and will come in red and silver.  And check out those stock hubs!  Just like the real car:

This will be a beauty, and of course a must-have.  This means we have two superbly stock Skylines coming - a $1 '71 2000GT-X from Matchbox this fall, and this premium version from TLV a few months afterwards.

Save the surfline!

On the heels of the TLV Silvia comes two more Nissan GT-R's and the rest of the June batch...

Tomica Limited Vintage at Japan Booster
Say hello to number 10 and 11.

Yes, Tomica Limited Vintage has just released two more Nissan GT-R's, and they are available now at Japan Booster, along with the rest of the June Batch:

Tomica Limited Vintage at Japan Booster

We can talk about the plethora of GT-Rs that TLV has released since March of 2015, but we will save that for the Lamley feature later this month.  (Me? I love it.)  For now let's focus on that is available for you to purchase.

Yesterday we announced the Nissan Silvia Super Silhouette was out, and today the rest of this loaded batch joins it.  Two Premium Edition GT-R's in white and black, two Leopard Ultima Turbos - which many of the JDM nuts will tell you are the best models in this batch, as well as two Isuzu Geminis.  Yes, that is a VERY nice assortment.

You may not be able to get all, but you should dip your toe in at least.  If you can only get one, get the Silvia.  You will not regret it.  Plus FREE SHIPPING.  If you can get a second, either a GT-R or a Leopard.  (I suggest you surprise yourself with the Leopard if you already have a GT-R.)  And don't forget the charming Geminis in some fantastic colors.

Whatever you do, don't miss out on these, especially when they are at a very nice price...

The Tomica Limited Vintage Neo Nissan Silvia Super Silhouette is out, and boy is it neato...

TLV Nissan Silvia Super Silhouette at Japan Booster
Just got the word from Japan Booster that my most anticipated TLV of 2016 has arrived.

My guess is that the Nissan Silvia Super Silhouette is a the top of many want lists since it was announced late last year.  With three DR30 Skylines and three Bluebirds already in the TLV Super Silhouette series, it was way past time for the Silvia.  It looks much different than the Skyline and Bluebird, and it has tremendous style sitting on Hoshino wheels and sporting the white/yellow livery.  It is obvious why these cars had such an impact on the car-obsessed youth of Japan at the time.

So it is finally out, and available now at the Japan Booster eBay store.

The model comes with a removable hood, as all the Silhouettes do, and a figurine of the driver.  More details to come, but this is a model you will be very happy to have.  And considering what happens to the prices of these models, I would jump now...

The CR-X & Sunny return! The Tomica Limited Vintage May Batch is now available to order at Japan Booster...

TLV May 2016 Batch at Japan Booster
I have shown a lot of Tomica Limited Vintage on Lamley.  Actually not a fraction of what is out there, but still quite a bit.  Some of the models I have shown are definitely more popular in Japan, like the Nissan Cedric, but there are some that seem to catch everyone's attention.

One of those models is the Honda Ballade Sports CR-X Si.  Collectors love them.  TLV has done 6 versions so far, and they now fetch high prices, especially the two-tone models.

I know of several collectors who would love to have an example but understandably don't want to spend what sellers are asking.  Well, fellow collectors, you time has finally come.

In May, Tomica Limited Vintage is releasing two more versions of the CR-X, and they are now available for preorder at JapanBooster.com:

Tomica Limited Vintage 2016 May Batch at Japan Booster

The cool thing is these two might be the best looking of all 8 released, and you can get them for MUCH cheaper than the older versions:

In fact, if you preorder now you get them for 25% off, which means less than $17 each.  This is why I love Japan Booster.  Great prices, fair shipping (you pay the same rate no matter how large the order, unless it is large enough to qualify for free shipping), and they package the models better than anyone.  To me it is a no-brainer, and once you see the models a decision you won't regret.

But don't forget about the other models in the batch.  Two Cedrics, including a new Taxi, (I really need to do a full feature on all the Cedrics.  There are a lot of them, and they are fantastic.) and two versions of the Nissan Sunny, the 1500 Super Saloon and 1000 Sedan.  Seeing a classic Sunny will get a few of you excited I am positive:

All in all, a great batch for May.  Reserve them now while they are cheap.

Hopefully you are excited about the new JapanBooster.com.  I certainly am.  No having to time things right to get the models you want before they sell out, because you can preorder.  It also means several more brands joining the Japan Booster store.  News on those to come.  Be prepared...

Just Unveiled: 2015 Hot Wheels '96 Nissan 180SX Type X with its proper wheels...

By // No comments:

Ah, no more blurred out wheels...

The 180SX has created quite the buzz since it was announced at Hot Wheels Nationals, and pics a couple of weeks ago only increased it.  Time for phase 3.  We now have pics of the model in all its glory, with its proper PR5 wheels.

Phase 4 will be once we actually have it in hand.

But phase 3 gives us a full view of this beauty.  And yeah, it is a beauty.  The 180SX may not be everyone's cup of tea, but this is a collector model through and through.  That is the only way a 20-year-old Nissan with sleepy eye headlights could pass in the mainline.  It is there because a designer loves it, and the collectors will buy it.

We surely will.  This model already enters the Lamley pantheon of great Hot Wheels.  Models like the Kenmeri, BMW 2002, Ford Gran Torino, Porsche 934, '55 Gasser, and on and on.  Seeing it in true form confirms it as our favorite new model of 2015, and perhaps the last few years.  We will see when we have it.

Nonetheless, this model can't come soon enough...
